Okay I want to make this one fast and short because I am sooooo far behind this week.
I guess the one thing you want to know is whats the answer from Brandy?
Well, put it this way:
I am still on the market.I am disappointed, and dismayed at her choice, but not really surprised. I cannot really blame her either. And I have been prepared for this eventuality anyway. I wish her the best and the happiest, and still I keep looking.
Heres my take on the maudlin part of this event: There is a dance at almost every Renaissance Festival... its calledThe Funky Formalnow this is an amazing party, and quite a big deal. Always wild, sexy, fun... exactly the sort of party you would expect (and hope) we would be a part of. I have gone to these dressed as everything from a Barbie Doll (Full-on fluffy-pink prom dress and full drag) to a Priest, to a leather-clad fetish idol.
Wild times.
Anyhow the theme for this years Formal was:Fantasy Island
So I dressed as the one fantasy I have left... I went as a groom... (aaawwwww!)
I had a wonderful time that night, met and chatted-up some very pretty girls I had never noticed before. And thought I was very charming... Until the next morning when Riki showed me a video he made that night he filmed me speaking fluent Drunk... he has threatened to put that video on the site, but fortunately he doesnt know how!
YAY!
I dont believe in things, Like I have written before... but I do sometimes find myself having superstitions... and one of them is; I dont like to tell people about something good that is about to happen because I might Jinx it. I made the mistake of telling you guys what was going on with the girl... and she opted-out... so its your fault dammnit!
Guys I am fine, this is the best possible time for this to have happened, I have so much crazy stuff going on right now, and a lot of swell offers and opportunities coming-up. Brandy is a great girl, but I think there may be one or more others out there in the wide world. If not I still have the Damn cat!
We have been busy busy busy... slaving-away for TortugaPalooza, and even making time to shoot an amazing Photo shoot... As Cowboys! It was really funny, the minute we strapped on the chaps, and hats and guns... We started to walk and talk differently. Dress-up is fun! It was kind of weird though, because we had borrowed all of the gear from our Jouster friends... who were there to watch and coach. So on the one hand; we looked good and were full of ourselves, and on the other; we felt ridiculous in front of our friends. I am really looking forward to putting these photos up for you guys... and having them for myself. I actually am now looking for a reason to do it again, ( I made a very attractive Buffalo Bill!)
Lots of great stuff in store for Palooza, and we are already writing bits for Palooza Two and Three. Our original plan was to do two Paloozas next year, several nights in Florida and one in Minnesota. But I may suggest to the boys that we actually expand Palooza Two into three markets. I am very excited at the one were putting up this time though... there are some amazing pieces that we are doing and I like how different this is from what we normally do. It is nice after all this time to branch-out. Of course as I may have mentioned before, I am a nervous wreck... and I expect to be vomiting regularly the night of the show... It is kind-of my job in the twins to get the pre-show jitters... Isnt that funny? I am a natural at performing, and once we actually start, the machine inside of me takes over... but whenever we are doing something different than we normally do a party, a corporate event, or this Palooza monstrosity I get all flibberty gibbet!
The next day:
We write these Journal; entries in different formats and at different times... I was supposed to have mine done by Friday, (oops!) but because I didnt I can also mention the video I was just working on for TortugaPalooza (the first one I ever did the actual, as opposed to the theoretical editing) I would like to give you details... actually I wouldnt. I want you to be surprised by it. I DOES make me giggle though.
As for Mexico, I followed my Fellow twins on a jaunt to our downstairs-neighbor country. Riki Sharon and Jef have been several times before, and were kind enough to guide me to all the best Bars, pharmacies, strip clubs (of course) and a genuinely swell restaurant called the Roc. (built I might add, into the side of a hill, in a cave!). It was a fun time for all, though I did lose my color-screen cell phone... I think it had something to do with the stripper... Notes: If you make the trip to Nogales, you dont need a lot of moolah, everything is about a third or a quarter of what you should be paying.
Again kids this is a short one, add to all the stress I was feeling yesterday, the lost phone, and the fact that after a 2-and-a-half hour trip back to Phoenix, I really couldnt sleep last night. I literally tossed and turned all night having nightmares about TortugaPalooza. In my dreams last night, Jef had forgotten to get the act cards printed, The videos were left at home, the projector wasnt working... At least there were people in the seats. Dreams are funny... it was just a dream right?
Well I just figured-out that I have to re-re-edit what I just edited... so I really must go.
More next time.
