Well, we closed up Michigan. What an amazingly fun festival. Great crowds, great performers. We had a great time messing with all the local street bits. Helping out in the parade several times. Including pulling the queens cabriolet on the final day. Which I’m told the guys who normally do it are very protective of their job. So wanted to send them a hearty “thank you” for letting us drop in as a special treat.

Once that run was over we had to pack up quickly and drive across several states to hit up the closing two weekends of the Connecticut Renaissance Faire. While it’s a smaller tent festival, they still do a great job of putting on a wonderful show. Lots of great vendors, lots of great acts. And I was especially looking forward to it because I meant I got to hang out with two close friends, Miz Marrus--from New Oreleans, and Billy the tomato guy-from Atlanta. Much revealry was had, much drink was drank. Including a unfortunate trip to what was to be the largest adult toy store in Connecticut. Little did we realize they close early on Sundays! I thought those things were supposed to be 24-hour deals. Crazy puritans.
Oh, I also got to breath fire! One of the local performers had her equipment there so she was willing to take the time to show me how it’s done. I’m sure it didn’t look nearly as impressive as when small (Casey Martin) does it. But it’s one more thing I can cross off my bucket list!
And I finished up the month with a Halloween/house warming party at my friend Heather’s. Unfortunately it means she moved farther away from me, but then, that may have been the whole idea to begin with.
Take care, and be safe!
