" Captains log supplemental "- This entry is to update you on the one thing that has dominated the majority of our time for that last couple of months. "TORTUGAPALOOZA!" We've been working feverishly on our plans for our first self produced variety show, separate from any other event.
For those of you that don't already know, Tortugapalooza will be held on April 23rd, 2004 in St. Petersburg, FL at the Palladium. Tickets are available on our regular website. It will consist of three acts with two intermissions. It will be interspersed with live action, music, video inserts and two other guest acts. Afterwards, there will be a private party and the top of the St. Pete Pier. (Tickets are available for this as well.) We had no idea of how much work this was going to be but we're up for the challenge. I've enclosed a bunch of pictures from our production meetings and video shoots. Sort of a picture essay of sorts. Realize that most of what's involved is TOP SECRET so I can only show bits and pieces.
Let me tell you something, it's amazing what doors open to you when you have producers and a video crew following you around. With some help from our friends at 3rd Hemisphere Productions we were able to acquire some wonderful shooting locations including hotel suites, a premier adult club in Minnesota, and a party tour bus complete with DJ booth and Stripper dance pole. ALL FOR FREE!!! It made for some exhausting but very fun days of shooting. Right now all the video segments are in post production. Heck, we haven't even seen everything yet. The suspense is killing me!
In addition, we've also completed shooting our 3rd DVD "The Big Bad Wolf Show". We shot several shows with a complete crew much like our last DVD. This one will have more bonus features and scenes from other shows as well. We're also talking about producing a "kid friendly" version of Robin Hood on CD complete with enhanced cd-rom features for the kids to play with.
As you can see, we've have a lot on our plate. And, with the holidays rushing towards us, there's no time to waste. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and has plenty to be thankful for. (I know I do!)
