While Riki and Ronn were doing out of state shows, The Tortuga Twins fan base was growing both locally and nationwide. My relationship with Sharon was also growing. She was always there for my mother and me. I couldn't have survived without her by my side. Like any couple, we've had our ups and downs and sometimes she's a big pain in my butt, but (butt, but??) my life is ten times better with her in it. It's hard to imagine it without her. She's my best friend, the love of my life, and really good at keeping me in line. (Most of the time) (Hopefully she's thanking me appropriately after reading this.)
On December 28th, 1999 we were married in Las Vegas. It was a gala event attended by about 30 of our closest friends and family. And, thanks to a close friend that happened to be a high roller, Harrah's Casino picked up almost the entire tab! The wedding was at a beautiful chapel at The Rio Suites. (Love that buffet!) No cheesy drive thru chapel for us! I could go on for pages about the 10 days we spent partying in Vegas, but that's a story for another time.
Don't worry ladies, even though I'm not hiring, I'm always accepting applications. (I love that line! My wife does not.)
Anyway, after college and my mother's passing there was nothing keeping me from being a 'full time' Tortuga. We started with the Arizona show, then Minnesota, etc. It took a couple more years of contract shifting, but now the Tortuga Twins are a permanent trio nationwide and better 'cuz of it. We've been bringing smiles to people coast to coast for 16 years now.
The rest as they say, is history.
P.S. I can't wait to see the guys take on our history. I will be curious to see the differences in how we view things.
