Howdy Pioneers!
Last time in Coviello land- his adventure continues as he has just arrived in Tampa, Florida for his next daring assignment: BARF. That’s right, the Bay Area Renaissance Faire. We are staying with Tortuga Twin family friend and long time fan Joey Rowe! There’s a lot of folk from the Michigan Faire (Holly) here which is pretty damn awesome cause it’s always fun to meet familiar faces out here on the circuit. We are on the tower stage here in Fiddleshire and sharing our stage with a bagpipe clan called: The Craic. (Pronounced: *ahem… Crack.) We also had a guest star in the one and only- Diante Fettuccine! The first couple of weekends were a little slow but boy did they pick up. We met some new friends from the King’s Ale Pub. As the crowds picked up so did our Beer shows. That’s right… beer shows. Fun things they sometimes are. Crowds enjoy ‘em. So do we! Not to mention, we’re in FRIGGIN FLORIDA! Ok- so maybe our tanlines will be deeper… and we will lose 10 pounds of water weight a day. There’s some really cool stuff here! Like Dinosaur World! And Orlando! In fact, Jon and myself did a little ole visit to see the Blue Man Group at Universal Studios. They drug him up on stage and slammed him into a canvas. It rocked. It was also the first time I had seen them since 1993 up in New York- I was quite young at the time but it has influenced my theatre mind ever since. There was also the Tampa Zoo with a cool African and China exhibit. Well after many drives back and forth to the airport and a few hooka lounges… not to mention a pretty kick ass Rescue/ cast party (where I did a little Hunter for the talent show) I gotta say- I’m beat. SO, while it pains me to do so, I’m making this one short. Sorry, but that’s the order of the day! Till next time gang!
