June takes us back to the Castle of Muskogee for the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival. Â This is our second year here, and boy did it feel good to be welcomed back. Â Unfortunately we had to miss the first week due to overlap with our Scarborough gig. Â But once we got there the second week, everyone was very excited to have us back.
I have to say, one of my favorite things about this festival is the act that we get to share the Meadow Stage with. Â Kent and Kevin are two real-life identical twins who make up The Jester Rejects. Â Their perfectly timed dry wit and on-stage banter is something to be enjoyed. Â They're a lot of fun to mess with boy on-stage and on the street.
The after parties that the festival hosts were a lot of fun also. Â Although I'll admit, I kinda took it easy this year. Â I was getting burnt out on all the travel and working every day for four months. Â So I made an appearance at most of the gigs, and then went back and crashed early. Â I'm quite looking forward to some time off this summer.
Up next... Our third year at the Siouxland Renaissance Festival!
