Konnichi wa!
So it's June! High temps and Sioux Falls... Leaving Oaklohoma I drove up to South Dakota and one of my favorites faires to be at. We met up with Daniel the duke of Danger again for good crowds and the best Mead on circuit. Tweet and other fans from Minneapolis came down to help provided some great fun! I wish this faire was more than one weekend cause these fans rule. We even had BBQ with some fans and played some backyard redneck Frisbee golf. I ended up breaking my new mug (and my phone... again)... alas alack...
After the show was over I headed over to Minneapolis to go to the passport agency there. Interview was quick and 200$ later I got that whole thing underway. I was told I would get it in two weeks, just in time for my flight [at the time of writing this, I still have not gotten it.] which makes me nervous. I hung out there for a couple of days (thanks again to our fan named Frank who gave me a crash spot for the night.) I also checked out the theatre scene there and I must say, I''m impressed. After a little more of slumping around it was southern bound.
I got to see some Charlotte friends I hadn't seen in awhile... and Lydia once gain (this time by my own machinations). finally I ended up in Greenville seeing even older friends and my dog Alaska. Plus I'll be getting some much needed down time and will attempt to jump start my artistic endeavors.
I took a trip to Destin with my family and what a place! Awesome beaches, deep sea fishing (I caught the biggest fish on my trip- no lie!), good food and para-sailing...
My passport never came and so I ended up having to get a voucher good for one year on the same route. Lessons learned- 1. Don't count on the government to be punctual. 2.- Always get flight insurance in case something comes up. What's this mean? Well, when my passport comes in i can set a new date. Yay. I'll be there soon Diane! Well I'm going to make it quick for this bit but I'll leave you a ton of pics to make up for it... later space cadets.
