God is not real. Go home. |
I am still a day-and-a-half away from Saturday, midnight’s deadline...
Heather is warming up leftovers for lunch. She is a hell of a cook, and quite the eater! Between that, and being too busy (and distracted) to make it to the gym these days - I am putting on quite a bit of weight.
I am actually wearing pants while typing... our friend Christian is over and we’re watching Masters of Horror. I have been recording them, and saving them for him, and we are finally watching them... and I feel, as a friend, he deserves me clothed.
I organized my photos for this journal... and realized that I have too many. So - this is going to be one of those journal types that Andy hates, all photos, and little text. [Thank you sir, may I have another? - AB]
I thought at first that nothing really happened this month... Heather and I have hunkered-down a bit to save moolah and to recover from Vegas... but the photo records do not lie... so let’s start with an inspirational photo I found somewhere... I don’t remember the source - but it is so amusing to me.
So first we need to mention that we performed at a private party - based right here at the festival, it was Mardi Gras themed... Heather had to work for the first part of it (the party took place on a Saturday night, right after the festival closed) but then joined the masked Tortugas (masked for Mardi Gras remember) just in time to see our performance. My darling Asian-hottie was painted for the theme... and I couldn’t wait to get her home and mess-up her make-up...

Heather’s first real on-circuit party... she somehow ended up playing with the kids. Makes me just a little nervous when I can actually ‘hear’ her ovaries twitching!
The party continued into late into the evening, and then with a tip of my (borrowed) hat, we were off to bed.
Now I don’t want you to think that all we do is screw, and attend parties... but you’ll at least get photos from one of those two topics!

Now I had planned a big surprise, I have been designing a tattoo I wanted for years now... and my plan was to let no one know, until it was finished... and the next time we Tortugas took our shirts off for the R-rated show... it would be a big unveil... But it didn’t quite work out that way... I was running to put a shirt on every time Riki and Jef came over... but they saw it anyway... so, I can reveal it to you now.
My great friend Eric did the design for me (the same fellow who designed my tribal fox) and I asked for referrals when I got to AZ for an artist to transfer the ink-to-skin. The suggestion was not only for a great tattoo-ist, but an old friend of mine, Jen Mayer.

I have at least one more session to undergo while here in Phoenix, the outline of my raven is done, but I face hours of fill-in to do... but to me, totally worth it.
The Saturday after that was a rain-day... you heard me right, rain-day in the desert... we closed early, and all Tortugas went to my trailer to watch recorded Battlestar Galacticas.. notice in the third picture I try to wear a long-sleeve shirt to conceal the new ink?

Now some folks have asked about London; how is she getting along with Dog(let), and Heather. And I have to tell you, she has been happier, and better adjusted than I have ever seen her... was she just lonely? Was she acting-out because she wanted more company? She has been very comfortable, and loving, and nice... even indulging Heather in a little Dress-up. I hate to mention this because I don’t want to jinx it, but this is the longest she has ever gone without peeing in the bed. The last time she had an episode was back in December in Louisiana.

Last but not least, Heather went to her first on-road Funky Formal... Full disclosure time here: She has been to LOADS of formals in the past... in fact it was an argument we had at a formal years ago that lead to our dating the first time.
And formals were different back then, more "formal" (would you believe that there used to be actual Dance Cards? I miss them) and more hedonistic. Though that might be because of my changes... I’m seeing someone now... and I’m older, so I just don’t look for the same things at them any more.
But, this was Heather’s first formal as a full time ‘Rennie’.
Because we had so little time with the geisha-drag back in Charlotte, we decided to just do that again. Also; in Charlotte, I chose the wrong make-up base, so I wasn’t happy. I fixed it this time. I enlisted the aid of the sweet and lovely Sarah, (Serendipity) of Clan Tynker to help with my make-up, and I thought I looked quite fetching...
I was a big hit with the boys... even my good friend Muggsy... who was a little disturbed at my transformation, and Jamie Harvey, who drunkenly tried over-and-over to dip me... until he dropped me and Heather had to come rescue me.

Heather was lovely as always... and a HUGE hit with the ladies and the boys... Even the normally shy Dana, of Hey Nunnie-Nunnie was smitten... and I like watching girls dance together.
The Formal was rampant with Libido, and boys and girls and naughtiness... maybe I am wrong and it IS still a party for Libertines. There were some sexy folks there, feeling their magic - this lovely lady was a huge hit with the fellas... and I have some more incriminating pictures you can’t see. But I have to tell you, as lovely as all these kids were, I was so pleased to be going home with my honey in the end.

One final thing: I am enclosing some photos I was forwarded to by a friend in Louisiana... These photos were taken at a Christmas display in lakeside mall near New Orleans. The display which mocked the Hurricane, its effects, and the government’s response. The display was forced to be removed after a few days.
