So I am 51 minutes LATE with this journal... Apparently this has become a race, Jef just bragged about his journal being in last night so I am sure I’m the loser this month.
With the fact that the LAST journal was very late, and not posted until the 17th or so, I don’t really have that much to write about.
It seems that May is Birthday Month here in Georgia... and that also seems like almost the only thing we did. Over and over again...
We started with Michela’s (pronounced Mik-hay-la) Birthday, for those who don’t recognize her with her teeth un-blackened, Michela is the very talented and very pretty washer-well-wench at this show and Minnesota. A lovely girl and awfully cool. She just happened to have her celebration at Ru-San’s (one of our favorite Sushi restaurants) and my very pretty fiancée and I made an appearance. Fortunately Jef and Sharon drove, for as this video indicates, by the end of the party I was in NO position to drive. [Click for the AVI audio clip] (mmm sake!) The party was raucous good fun, with Michela blushing when I sang to her, and when the waiter’s (and the manager) serenaded her as well.

The birthday madness continues |
The Aquarium was marvelous! Sea Turtles, Giant Japanese crabs... as I posed near their tank Heather asked (loudly) "Where’s the melted butter?"
Dakota and Jeremy |
Mmmm... I wonder how it tastes...? |
After the aquarium, it was off to funky Little Five Points. Shopping for high fashion, we did each score some shirts... Mojitos (mmmm love ‘em!). And we did buy one for the under-age girl. And then while my resistance was low, Heather tried to convince me to adopt this adorable little kitten as a sister to London. See that sad look? I was having a very hard time resisting this kitty (damned fiancée!).
Totally hot, and Heather looked good, too |
A crime about to happen |
Boo-boo-kitty |
People started calling and wishing me happy b-day as soon as Friday. Heather and the boys (and Muggsy, and the Lost Boys, and Sharyn Watson our fan club president, and Katy Trottier, and Brian the cart-god) arranged a HUGE surprise for me. As I emerged from backstage with my hair in bright-yellow extension pig-tails - I walked into a huge table of goodies, a serenade, my future replacement... and the gloating of my brothers and fiancée. After that, we still had a whole r-rated show to perform (which ended in me getting a pie in the crotch from those darned washing-well-wenches) what a great way to celebrate your birthday.
[The whole thing is May's "Video Clip of the Month" - you can watch it in Windows Media or in RealMedia]
Monday was my actual birthday party. Oodles of people there. Mojitos (that’s why we chose this restaurant) and Tapas (small, appetizer dishes - yummy!) I got loads of cool loot (including my Ipod... thanks Riki) and goodies for my new PSP, I have gotten a whole lot of electronics in the past few weeks... yay!
Happy Birthday Party |
A little birthday love |
Even more birthday love |
Oh wait, there was one thing we did this term that wasn’t a birthday party! There is a huge event in the suburbs of Atlanta (a town called Alpharetta) called The Taste of Alpharetta. Bunches of local restaurants set up tables with samples of their food, for the over 20 thousand people that show up.
The renaissance festival always sends out a bunch of entertainers to pass-out flyers to promote the fair. We normally wouldn’t participate in this sort of thing, but... they also gave us a bunch of food tickets.

Notice the glasses of preparations |
Just out of the "dressing room" |
But apparently Sharon and Heather were drinking too much as well - hehehehehe!
Hugging the plushies |
That's a lotta bull! |
Scary frickin' clown..! |
Last weekend, we had another party... We get to meet the coolest people thru our work. You have heard us all write about the awesome Frankie-D... a bona-fide New Jersey Italian (you gotta problem with dat?). He has become like family to us... so when he came to town, we had a barbecue. What a great way to spend a Saturday evening, Jef and Frank grilled the ribs, (which Jef had prepared, and seasoned), much rum was drunk, much bullshit was flung... much love was in the room... so-to-speak (as it was outside).
Did we mention Frank also looks like Stanley Tucci?

A final party |
So this was definitely one of my shorter entries... sorry... I’ll wax more eloquently next time, but it is past 2 in the morning and I have a hot Asian babe waiting for me in bed.
