But too damn bad, 'cause I think they're funny.
Time to finish up the season and head home for some much needed rest. This month we visit family and do our yearly rehab on the house. Hopefully our finances will make it 'til February or my ass is getting a job.
We've finished the Louisiana show and I have to admit, the dungeon exceeded all our expectations. Yes, it cost us a fortune to build but in couple years it should really pay off. I love the idea of making money whether we're there or not. That's making smart money!
Now that the season's done, it's time to return to Florida and rest my deteriorating knee. I took a pretty good spill down the Haeuser's stairs when my knee just buckled for no reason. I'll tell ya, knee injuries are no fun at all! Those of you that have them understand. Eventually I'll get the bastard fixed.
This year we decided to have a little Christmas get together. Little... yeah, right. It's supposed to be little. But, word spreads fast around here. It wasn't too bad and there was only a little drama. I'm glad we don't do many parties anymore.

Our holiday break also includes some house rehab. At least it has for the last few years. This year it was time to finish the master suite. Last year we decked out the bedroom. This year it was time to remodel the master bathroom. (A much bigger endeavor than the bedroom.) We knocked down walls, moved existing plumbing, and tore out the old tub. The work was actually started in July and should have only taken a couple weeks. But, since my friend was doing the work on the side between other jobs, it took him forever. We finally finished it just before our Christmas party on the 22nd.
We removed the old tub and tiled shower and replaced it with a huge travertine marble shower stall with a big glass door and dual (his and hers) shower heads. The old vanity was removed and furniture style vanity with a marble top and a sink vessel was put in its place. The entire bathroom and closet was tiled in travertine marble as well. And finally, the old pocket door was removed and the wall was cut down to create a knee wall that just is high enough to hide the toilet. With that wall gone, the bathroom is much bigger! All we're missing now is a piece of art and some minor decorating and it'll be perfect!
