Dear J, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Tonight we decided to dress up and head out to some parties and bars with our good friend Robby. I decided to put together a Cap'n Jack Sparrow costume. I actually did it on a shoestring budget. I looked online for costume pieces and found some beautiful stuff, but it was really expensive. Not surprising for a couple of days before Halloween.
*FYI* I love Halloween! It's my favorite holiday. I love to play dress-up. (Go figure!) It's a great night to have a really cool party where everyone can be someone else. As a kid I just loved to go out and collect stupid amounts of candy. I'd start at like five o'clock and go until almost ten. I'd cover about a 4-5 square mile radius. It's a shame the world is so screwed up that kids really can�t do that any more. I hope if I ever have kids they get a chance to have that kind of fun.
So, we met at Robby and April's place. They're a couple I befriended the first year I did CRF. Since then they've become some of my closest friends. April's pregnant and didn't feel too well so she decided to stay home after the first stop. We finished getting ready at Robby's and headed out for the night. We stopped at a local party that Robby and April used to organize. It was kinda lame. Before Robby and April moved the parties used to rock! I'll bet they miss having them around. People seemed to like my costume. But, one guy came up to me and said "Hey, captain morgan!" Obviously he didn't see "Pirates of the Caribbean". Anyway, we met Ronn at Razzoo's. It's a restaurant and bar with a Cajun theme. There was supposed to be a fairly big party there. When we got there it was kinda dead. But they had some decent drink and food specials. I got lots of great compliments of the costume there. They were supposed to have a costume contest for $200 but the waitress said it was for the staff. That pissed me off! So I asked for the Manager and he said "no it's for the guests but it's not for another hour. Judging from the other costumes there I was a shoe in but we were sick of the empty bar so we decided to visit some friends at "Club 2000".
Club 2000 is a really cool bar that consists of 3 parts. A strip club featuring ladies, a strip club featuring men and a dance club in the middle. The owners and management are really big fans. They honestly treat us like rock stars. We got there and they wouldn't let us pay for a thing! A special hello goes out to Richie, Louie Lou, EJ and Charity! Thanks everyone! They said I should get into the costume contest, so I did. They split up the guys and the girls. I almost won! I lost out to "Jason" from "Friday the 13th". I guess he's a Halloween favorite. Oh well no big deal. It's just nice to be nominated! : ) We had a great night and didn't get too trashed. Imagine that! I can't wait to do the Jack Sparrow character again. Maybe I'll do it at one of the last Bucs games of the season. I think it'll go over well! Untill next time BOO!
