MRF
Happy September, Tortugaholics! I hope that you have had a muy fabuloso month. I, personally, have been livin’ large in the Midwest. And, by “Large” I mean hanging out with Tortugas and friends of Tortugas, and by the “Midwest” I mean the Twin Cities of Minnesota. Savage, Minnesota, more specifically.
The Men of Saffron and I have been whoopin’ it up on stage at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Record crowds have come out to enjoy five different Tortuga Twins shows a day, and they have been loving it. There’s nothing like a day of laughter and entertainment to take your mind off your worries. Golly, it’s been fun! So fun that the time seems to be racing away from us. In no time, we’ll be back in Charlotte, North Carolina—home to NASCAR my favorite yuppified rednecks—yee-haw, m’lord! But for now, We’re all about the Vikings, ice fishing, and Land of Ten Thousand Lakes.
NEW BOOK
I’ve begun writing a new book. This one being a solo project about attaining those dreams we hold secreted away in our hearts for safekeeping. All those Someday Promises we never have time to keep. Someday I’ll play the guitar, someday I’ll see the world. Don’t worry, I’ll write that book . . . someday.
I’ve given myself a year to finish it, but my writing coach says I’ll have the rough draft finished in three to four months. We’ll see. So far, I’m the Intro and a chapter into the coaching material and the story section is beginning to take on a life of its own. Last week, I was struggling to find the story and had only the Intro and half a chapter beneath my belt. My, the difference a week makes.
QMI
Speaking of books, Sarina & I held our US Book Signing Party and subsequent workshop at theTrue Colors Bookstore in Minneapolis. The book signing went very well with people from all over the Twin Cities dropping by to say hello, pick up a signed copy or two, and enjoy yummy cake with the authors. That’s right, cake! A white, butter-crème frosted book-shaped beauty with a picture of our “first born” done up as one of the pages. If you’re going to Quantum Manifest something, why not the best? Thanx, Cub Foods!
We held our first Quantum Manifestations workshop that Friday, entitled Creating Desirable Realities. There was a great turn out for this as well. Everyone had a good time exploring new possibilities. People left feeling excited, energized, and wanting more.
As a result of all this writing and workshopping, I’ve produced (with no small help from Sarina and the Tao Garden staff), a couple meditation DVDs & CDs. The first I’ve named Heart Connection & Sexual Cultivation Alchemy<. It contains a special meditation, as well as a conversation covering romance and its relation to sexual energy work. The second DVD & CD is dedicated to the Inner Smile and Six Healing Sounds meditation. This Universal Healing Taomeditation is used to transform day-to-day stress into positive vitality.
Both the Heart Connection DVD/CDs and the Inner Smile DVD/CDs were recorded on location atTao Garden in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and are guided by the baritone-base voice of yours truly. If you’re interested, or just mildly curious, drop me a line at mordant@qmiworld.com.

And so, Tortugaholics, we come to the end of yet another Riki-fied Journal. I hope that you are having a badtastic finale to your summer—it’s just turned frosty here in Minne-snow-ta. See you in thirty or so. Stay chill till then (but, not frostbitten). Ciao-ciao!
