Remember in my Autobiography, (part one, part two is still coming) How I said that you really don't know us? There is a belief in some of our fans that we live this incredible "Rock-star" existence: party, party, party all the time.
Well that is completely true.
Today's journal entry (and bear with me it will take several sittings to complete) finds me sitting at my notebook computer at Jef's house in St. Pete Fl. My hair is a wreck and I'm hung over.
I drunk dialed again last night.
Jef's wife and I share the same malady, whenever we get drunk we call people, usually ones we shouldn't and regardless of our level of inebriation. I dialed a girl in Phoenix who has in the past, and probably will continue to, break my heart - Brandy you bitch! Sharon and I want to patent an invention that is a Breathalyzer which attaches to our cell phones, to prevent us from making calls while drunk.
Anyway, as toasted as I am, I'm in best shape of the group. I at least have had some sleep therefore I am the driver' so of course we sealed the deal with a shot.
I asked a question a while ago about how revealing our readers wanted me to be. Surprisingly enough the vote was overwhelmingly for me to tell all, but honestly kids, I don't think I can. For propriety, privacy, decency and so I don't alienate our loyal fans I have decided NOT to name names or give too salacious of details. I'll try to keep it juicy enough to keep your interest piqued. It is fair to say this: I have done things, so many things that most people only read about in books, I lost my virginity in a threesome, and went on from there. As I write this I can see some of the faces of some of our members in my mind's eye and I hope they are not appalled or blushing, but I live my life as an open book - often to my detriment - and for the low low price you kids have paid, you get to read some of that book.
I suspect I may be an alcoholic, surely not as you imagine, the fellow you see on stage at the beer show or the sword show probably isn't as drunk as you guess (though there have been times when I really, really was! YIKES) but I really do drink a lot, and we all party way too much.
There are :
I was going to write some stuff about drugs, but it's not what you'd imagine, I'd be willing to bet no one out there could figure out how or what I am involved in, and might be surprised at what I walk away from all the time, I feel that's too deep, too much information, let's just say, "I'm no angel" eh?
SO I guess I should catch you up from the last entry; Charlotte went wonderfully, at least on a professional level. It was a record setting year in attendance; the crowds were so big and supportive that the bosses want to move us to a bigger stage. As I mentioned in the normal side of the site, we are treated really well by fans in Charlotte, between all the free drinks, and food we are bought there, and the trades we do (trading complimentary tickets we receive for restaurant gift certificates etc) we rarely pay for meals in that town. I guess it-s been ten years since that fair opened, so ten years we have been working there. How lucky we are to be received so well! We sold scads of DVDs, which is good, since it allows us to finance our next several projects for you kids! Did we mention that we have already shot the next DVD - Big Bad Wolf and that we are filming TortugaPalooza for eventual release?
Back to Charlotte; the weather was great, the fans were wonderful. You may ask ,what was the only dark cloud on the flawless sky of our time in Carolina?- The Carolina Curse! I just can-t seem to "hook-up" with Carolina girls anymore. I did okay during that time; due to a couple of different friends visiting from out of town, but, and maybe because we spend so much time traveling, I get no play from the Carolina hotties.
Traveling, Let's see: First week of Carolina - went back to Florida
Second week - Went to build games in Louisiana
Third week - Went to Florida again, Halloween horror nights
Week four - Children's days at the Carolina fair. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of 33,000 kids yikes
Week five - Riki and Jef went to Florida again for Earl's Batchelor party- I opted out thank GOD! But Sharon and I went on a huge shopping spree back in Charlotte.
You get the idea- and here after the first weekend of Louisiana, we are back in Florida again - Tomorrow is Therese and Earl's wedding.
Louisiana is going well so far, besides doing the show there I own the maze, and we own the roses and the new games we just built. The games are doing well, making a little profit, but they are an investment - next year after they are all paid for, all the net is PROFIT! The roses are losing money, I think I hired the wrong salesgirl - sigh, and I am very harsh on myself when I don't do things perfectly. Fortunately the Maze is VERY profitable, (which is why I am so excited that the Twins are building one at the New Bay Area show). As I mentioned before, Sam, the third husband of my ex-wife Diana, runs my maze for me and oversees our other businesses. Our list of employees, or as we like to call them, "minions" is ever growing, with the new businesses in Florida, we really are gonna be moguls.
In a minute I am going to write out some more FAQs, and since I finally got my amazingly swanky new digital camera, I'll be including lots more photos with the updates. Riki wrote one time about Jef's luck, (which BTW certainly kicked in again on our foray into the quarter Saturday - drunk as we were, and tired and rowdy, the bastard STILL managed to win again at the wheel of fortune slot machine.) But he didn't mention Jef's other amazing skill, finding the best products at the best prices - it's uncanny! But first here are some updates on my plans for the future:
I am wintering in Florida (mostly). I became a SCUBA diver last winter, and definitely plan to get some time under the water this winter.
I just got confirmation from the amazing Stefan of Wolgelmut, that I can come to stay for a while, so I get New Years in Berlin (yahoo!)
We have loads of work to do to set up our businesses at the New Bay Area fair, as well as rehearsals, marketing, and whatnot for TortugaPalooza.
