Looks like I need to update two weeks this time.
On the Arizona front…Once again, our illustrious Cart Goddess, Cindy Gray, left us with the following updates:
“All I can say is that, after five solid weeks of absolutely INCREDIBLE weather, Mother Nature decided to remind us that we had one weekend of winter left. Saturday was windy, but warm. Sunday was not quite as wet as we'd expected, really, but it was colder than a witch's ... well, you get the idea. The show schedule was disrupted on account of inclement (aka crappy) weather - we had Robin Hood, a PG13-rated version of the R-rated show, Troy Story, and, well, it began to rain in earnest at EXACTLY 4:45 PM! Gah! I do have one great show quote for you - from the PG13 show.
I believe it was Raphael who said "Hurry up, before the rain comes!"
Scaramouche:Â "What?!"
Raphael:Â "Before.the.rain.comes!"
Scaramouche: "Oh! I was wondering who the hell is Lorraine?"
With it being St. Patrick’s Day Weekend, I heard something about a “viking leprechaunâ€. When asked to explain, I got this response from one Arizona Tortuga,
“A huge nordic giant, dressed in green, looking like both Viking and Leprechaun.â€
I really wish someone had taken a picture of that.
Socializing with our Fan Club Family
In between weeks six and seven, the Scaramouche, Raphael and D’Angelo got together with about 80 or so of our Fan Club Family to eat, drink and play. It was fun…it was naughty…and it was exactly what everyone needed on a fine Arizona night.
Card-carrying members of our Arizona Fan Club Chapter were invited to bring one guest and meet the boys at Dave & Busters for a fun evening.  The food was fantastic (thank you Dave & Busters), the company was fabulous (thank you, our Fan Club Family) and the game playing was filled with murder, mayhem, zombies and screams (as it should be.) A big THANK YOU to everyone who attended. Can’t wait to do it again next year. Â
For weekend seven…
On Saturday, the boys filmed two different versions of “Troy Story†(one of my personal favorites) for release as a dvd later on this year.
“Sunday's RH show was great fun. When D'Angelo stated that Maid Marian should be virginal, Scaramouche looked at the hottie he had selected and said "God, I hope not." Then Robin Hood was nearly outsmarted by a pillow! The Pirate Show introduced us to a very large, very dark Island Queen. The Big Hawaiian led to a string of silliness: A comment about going over the grass skirt with a lawnmower led to "asking if you want Samoa". Scaramouche: "I'd have to say 'pupu' to that one." Raphael: "This coming from a guy who was just Polynese?" [on his knees]. Finally, Scaramouche asked "when did YOU get so funny?" I should point out that the Samoan guy came back to the R-rated show for more abuse ... he was the Big Hawaiian love for the rest of the afternoon, and he had a great time with it!â€
Sunday also marked a very significant day for the boyz. It is the Anniversary of the birth of the Tortuga Twins. If you’ve read the bio on this site, you know that way back in 1987 (March 25th to be exact) Raphael & D’Angelo formed the Tortuga Twins.  Three years later Scaramouche surprised them by joining them on April 1st. Just to confuse you a wee bit, the Official Anniversary for the Tortuga Twins is April 1. And…just so you know…this year marked their 25th Anniversary. As a note: I’m probably not supposed to tell you this, but there may be a special shirt coming out very soon to commemorate this momentous occasion. (You didn’t hear it from me.) I'm also betting that there's a sneak preview in Raphael's newest Journal entry in the Members Section.
Bay Area
I found some wonderful posts on facebook that tell quite the tale about our younger Tortugas.
Rhonda Milstead Rice My 12 year old telling the Blue team to Chug Chug Chug during the beer show....I do believe she has been exposed somewhere and it was NOT me!
Luna Mystique ‎"Lesbian is just a nickname for Grandma" "Remember this gesture (Shooting the bird) means I love you. Show it to Gra.. I mean "Lesbian" it the next time you see her." Or as you said to my friend's 6 year old son *face palm* "Remember some of the things you see and hear here Mommy will lie to you about, so make sure you as your teachers and your principal at school" to my friend "You're gonna lose your kid!" the Rated R show in Tampa was FABULOUS! Especially the StripClub Guy kiss. 🙂
And from the Tortugas/Team:
Entire medieval justice league of America was there on Sunday. Oh, and Strip Club Guy giving Lucio the tongue at the end of the Beer Show. Oh... and disastrous amounts of green beer... :: shudder ::
Drunk blonde Marion who was there with her "Uncle" who bought her some Small pink booty shorts. Yeah, "UNCLE".... whatever!
The doctor of Nottingham…Coviello decided to see what actually is “under a Scotsman’s kiltâ€...or two.
Naughty fans, naughtier Tortugas, kilts, beer, and St. Patrick’s Day…who could ask for anything more?
There is only one more weekend left for both The Arizona Renaissance Festival and The Bay Area Renaissance Festival. Â I can't wait to see what everyone has planned for that Final day of Fest in both places.
